From Lake Fanny Hooe we headed south to the town of Marquette and stayed at the city operated Marquette Tourist Park Campground arriving on the 1st of August and departing on the 4th. It was a satisfactory campsite and at $35 a night for 50 amp full hookup, it was reasonable for the Upper Penisula.

Our plan was to stay here while visiting the Pictured Rocks. However, after scheduling our Pictured Rock cruise and having it canceled due to high winds on the lake, we postponed our Pictured Rock tour till later.
We did enjoy our visit to the area and had our first Pasties at Jean Kay’s. They were very good and we bought some of their frozen version to take with us.
We also had a visit with our friends from Florida, Tom and Bev. We met for lunch and had a relaxing stroll afterward in downtown Marquette. It was a great visit and it was good to see them.
They had an unusual umbrella display downtown.
From Marquette, we headed east to Sault St Marie.
